Don't be afraid of AI. Be afraid that your competition is getting better about AI usage than you, which is going to cost your company something if you don't act. By the way, this is the same dual sentiment that happened when the Internet first came into being. I used to make jail cell door hinges. No, really! No joke. When I was 16, I worked for a machine shop doing all kinds of odd things, and that was one of the most interesting parts of my time there. I ran a punch press, which is an incredibly dangerous piece of equipment, and work was often hot, dirty, and physically demanding. Have you ever had a frontline job? It can be a tough road to walk, and often times the strategies we have for developing and growing those staff are better suited to an office-based staff, not one on the frontlines. What a day! Rocked out with the Catapult Employers Association in Greensboro, NC today. Met amazing #hrsummerschool alumni Charlene Nelson, MBA, SPHR (see you soon for year #5!) and We're Only Human podcast aficionado Abby Abigail Taylor, a recruiter who is on 🔥 for learning and growing. What a treat! Joni Bratton Holmes and the ENTIRE Catapult team did an incredible job of bringing together content, engaged attendees, and an atmosphere of learning and growth. Kudos!
